Dr. Barrell is a board-certified Family Physician currently completing a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.

She firmly believes that our bodies are naturally inclined toward health and seeks to partner with patients to help them harness this innate wellness. Dr. Barrell emphasizes the power of positive thinking, meditation, exercise, a real-food diet, restorative sleep, and nurturing social connections, all grounded in an evidence-based approach to health.

While this holistic foundation is essential for overall well-being, Dr. Barrell is also highly skilled in managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperlipidemia, and osteoarthritis. She strongly encourages routine health maintenance, including age-appropriate immunizations, cancer screenings, laboratory evaluations, and a thorough review of medications, with a focus on reducing unnecessary pharmaceuticals and their potential side effects.
