Dr. Sherilyn Wheaton is board certified in Family Medicine. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Biology from University of California, San Diego, she received her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. Wheaton completed the Family Medicine Residency Training Program at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, after which she spent a year at Harvard University earning a Master of Public Health in Family and Community Medicine. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Before joining Primary Medical she worked in the Urgent Care at the West Ventura Medical Clinic for several years and was the Medical Director of Ventura County Healthcare for the Homeless. Most recently she worked in primary care in Santa Barbara.

Dr. Wheaton is fluent in Spanish, is an avid gardener and loves to work on her potter’s wheel whenever she can.
