Dr. Uldine Castel joined the Primary Medical family in June 2012. She has been a prominent figure in the Ventura medical community for many years, most recently as a physician-owner of Family Medical Practice, alongside Dr. Jeffery King.

Dr. Castel’s comprehensive patient care spans geriatric care, women’s health, pediatric medicine, and HIV/AIDS treatment. She also works with the Immunology Clinic in Ventura, where she treats patients and serves as a liaison with public health officials in the county. Dr. Castel earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at Ventura County Medical Center, where she underwent full-spectrum Family Practice training, including obstetrics.

Dr. Castel has a deep passion for travel, which has led her to numerous volunteer experiences. For two years, she served as the Associate Director and Medical Project Assistant in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia, where she helped develop, implement, and deliver a rural medical relief project. Additionally, she has volunteered as a physician in a mobile bush clinic in Mali, Africa, providing medical care to villagers and nomadic peoples.

In her free time, Dr. Castel competes on a rowing/crew team and enjoys cooking.
