Get to know Zena Aladdin!

Zena felt a natural calling to medicine and nursing at the age of 9 while caring for her father, whom she considers her first patient, when he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease. She views her role with patients as a partnership, striving to listen to their needs, provide education, and focus on prevention and healthcare maintenance.

Zena completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, and San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Public Health. She worked in community health research with grants from the National Institutes of Health, focusing on programs to prevent diabetes and improve cardiovascular health. She later attended the University of California, San Francisco, where she earned her nursing degree and Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in Ventura County, Zena is excited to return home and serve her community.

Outside of work, Zena enjoys spending quality time with her family and rescue dog, hiking around Ventura County, cooking, spending time at the beach, and doing Zumba fitness.
